Jean-Vincent, why Z3K?
Ever since I was young, being self-employed has been a desire of mine. Today, I can’t even say exactly where that motivation originally came from. I’ve always been a tinker and full of ideas.
Ultimately, what motivated me to found Z3K was the conviction that customer value should once again take center stage. Not systems, not technology, but the concrete benefits for people or businesses. Whether it’s an individual with an idea, an SME, or a large corporation.
At the same time, I’m convinced that the work environment of the future will look very different from today’s. I didn’t want to leave this transformation to chance or the decisions of others; instead, I wanted to actively help shape it.
You've worked in a wide variety of settings. What have you learned from those experiences?Switching between large corporations and SMEs quickly shows you what the differences are. In SMEs, generalist skills and pragmatic solutions are often required. When something is needed, you have to quickly familiarize yourself with the task and either improvise solutions or simply source them externally. In large corporations, on the other hand, the need for coordination is significantly greater, and processes are more structured. In return, you can draw on extensive internal resources, even if access to them is usually more organized and less spontaneous. I’m particularly interested in how to combine the best of both worlds. What kind of person are you?I'm an IT professional who has come to realize over the years that technology alone doesn't solve anything. A cool system is great—but the goal isn't IT for IT's sake. Get up at 9 a.m., some exercise, a nice brunch. Then a ride on my motorcycle or a trip to the mountains, and round out the evening with friends and family in the city.
